Cari amici ed ascoltatori....ultimo album in studio del grande Miles, uscito postumo nel giugno del 92 per volontà del produttore Easy Mo Bee che alle sei composizioni già completate aggiunse due pezzi, High Speed Chase e Fantasy, prendendo assoli di Davies e costruendoci su il pezzo. La svolta del grande verso il mondo del Hip Hop è ben evidente, e come sempre in anticipo su mode e tendenze, una progenesi all'acid jazz o a progetti come Jazzmatazz di Guru (DMC n.d.r.) e che oggi ancora si ritrovano nella corrente Nu Jazz; molto interessante....QUI  zero

Dear friends and listeners....Modal Soul is Nujabes' second solo album. It is a follow-up album to 2003's Metaphorical Music ( tale a look on archives). Like its predecessor, it maintains a combination of hip hop and jazz. Features artists Cise Starr (of CYNE)., Akin, Terry Callier, Shing02, Substantial, Pase Rock, Apani B and Uyama Hiroto. Despite the fact that the album has contributing vocals from several artists, it is roughly classified as an instrumental hip hop album.
Modal Soul received very positive reviews, with critics calling it a very worthy follow up to Metaphorical Music.....enjoy  HERE ....zero

Questo e quanto dichiarano sulla loro homep. e curiosando fra le tante e  varie proposte di questa crew ho scovato questi interessanti suoni proposti da un tale, The jazz Jousters soldier  che vanno a ripescare un certo Cannonball Adderley per rinfrescarlo con un po di sampler ritmici di chiara natura hip hop senza rinunciare a quel bel datato sound da trombettista hard bop che era.....interessante....zero
