Cari amici santi bevitori....dopo la Lumina ecco un'altra interessante proposta da parte del Birrificio Civale, la Horus; Horus era il falco divino, dio del cielo, che aveva il sole come occhio destro e la luna come occhio sinistro. La sua natura comprendeva una chiaroveggenza che gli consentiva di vedere ogni cosa, una capacità visiva molto acuta e una sviluppata consapevolezza.

La HORUS è una Summer IPA da 4.5

% , dal colore biondo paglierino con schiuma densa e persistente. Profumo fresco e delicato con note agrumate. Di corpo lieve, offre una gradevole nota maltata, presto seguita dalle evidenti note luppolate dei luppoli americani Citra e Cascade , che conferiscono sentori di agrume, lime e pompelmo.

Finale secco e mediamente amaro, che ripulisce la bocca e invoglia subito a un altra sorsata! Birra da bere a secchiate nelle calde giornate estive, possibilmente assieme ad un nutrito gruppo di amici che si guardano L'talia maltrattare la Germania agli europei.....enjoy!

Lumina

Cari amici ed ascoltatori, nonche' santi bevitori....la proposta di oggi, dopo un po' di silenzio da parte mia,e questa "Lumina" del birrificio Civale in quel di Spinetta Marengo (AL).

E' una birra bionda dal colore giallo paglierino, con schiuma bianca abbondante e aderente. Il profumo è di luppolo fresco, con note maltate seguite da frutta esotica, pompelmo, ananas, arancia. In bocca si possono apprezzare le gradevoli note mielate date dai malti, seguite da sensazioni fruttate inebrianti! Birra fresca, dissetante ed estremamente beverina grazie ad un finale amaro che ripulisce il palato....enjoy, Zero

Cari amici ed ascoltatori.....dopo un po' di silenzio riflessivo...vabbè chiamiamolo così, riprendo le usuali  attività di ascolto, ed oggi vi propongo un collega che ha voluto rompere quel velo mistificante che avvolge la nostra professione. Non tanto per noi infermieri, che purtroppo sappiamo benissimo, ma rivolto a tutti coloro che pensano che la professione infermieristica sia ridotta alla mera esecuzione di quattro punture....

il jazz secondo M.D.

Cari amici ed ascoltatori....ultimo album in studio del grande Miles, uscito postumo nel giugno del 92 per volontà del produttore Easy Mo Bee che alle sei composizioni già completate aggiunse due pezzi, High Speed Chase e Fantasy, prendendo assoli di Davies e costruendoci su il pezzo. La svolta del grande verso il mondo del Hip Hop è ben evidente, e come sempre in anticipo su mode e tendenze, una progenesi all'acid jazz o a progetti come Jazzmatazz di Guru (DMC n.d.r.) e che oggi ancora si ritrovano nella corrente Nu Jazz; molto interessante....QUI  zero

Cari amici ed ascoltatori....I prolifici De-Phazz sono un  progetto jazzy downtempo lounge oriented guidato dal produttore tedesco-austriaco Peter "Pit" Baumgartner, che si è circondato di un gruppo di collaboratori caratterizzato dalle cantanti Barbara Lahr, Karl Frierson, e Pat Appleton, nonché musicisti come il batterista Oli Rubow. Album come Detunized Gravity (1997), Godsdog (1999), Death by Chocolate (2001), il Daily Lama (2002), I giorni della Twang (2007), e Big (2009) hanno esplorato i vari terreni della musica lounge del 21 ° secolo, in gran parte miscelando samplers  con strumentazione dal vivo, con innumerevoli sezioni di jazz, soul, easy listening, e musica latina. Baumgartner non è anche estraneo ai side  projects; ha remixato Ella Fitzgerald "Wait 'til You See him" per la prima compilation della Verve "Remixed", così come Kool & the Gang e a-ha. Bene, dopo questo cappelloto introduttivo passiamo al loro ultimo lavoro "Private" uscito il 29/01/2016 per la Edel non fa che riconfermare la valenza di questo gruppo, a cui il tag eletronic lounge va molto stretto; bel dischetto molto atmosferico e cinematico, scivola via in sottofondo senza mai essere troppo prevalente.....musica per "fare qualcosa", che sia cucinare o smontare un motore; non solo, ma funziona molto bene come rilassante dopo una giornata carica o peggio ancora piena di discussioni inutili ed arrabiature futili....per cui....QUI ... enjoy, zero

Loeb Harp Lorber

Cari amici ed ascoltatori.....di questo trio superstar avevo già postato una loro bella performance al Blue Note di Milano, ed ora arieccoli con un bel prodotto fresco fresco per il 2016, "More serious business", affari più seri ed il nome già ci fa pregustare un altro dischetto molto interessante ed eseguito con quella meticolosità già fattaci sentire. Mai nome fu più appropiato per una band; Jazz Funk Soul a testimoniare le radici da cui si è sviluppato questo bel progetto che unisce questi generi e che noi facilmente tagghiamo come Fusion....QUI enjoy, zero.

Soundz for travellers

Dear friends and listeners....the theme of a voyage is the conceptual thread that brings together The Incognito Traveller's explorations. Every human being will see other people travelling and never know their reason for being, moving, travelling - each human will never know anything about all other travellers. All other travellers are, and will forever remain, anonymous, to the masses. Everyone is the viewer and, at once, anonymous. Everyone has an identity, everyone remains unidentified. A traveller lost among travellers, an incognito traveller. Enrico Gianfranchi creates The Incognito Traveller in 2003 after a few years producing hip-hop beats for rap artists from the Vancouver underground. After playing DJ sets that varied over time from hip-hop to afrobeat to hard jazz, in clubs in Canada, summer beach lounges in Italy, The Incognito Traveller remixes The Dining Rooms’ Forever’s Not and the song is included on the album Versioni Particolari 2 (Schema Records, 2006), alongside remixes by Boozoo Bajou, Parov Stelar, and Fedreghini&Bianchi. After more sets around Italy and Mexico, The Incognito Traveller releases a first EP, offered to the world as a free download in 2007 (Discos Konfort-NoCopyProtection Netlabel), the EP received stellar reviews and a hefty amount of downloads, which prompted the release of a second EP, Traffic/Mediterranean Moonrise (Indiealliance). By 2010 the project had garnered sufficient interest and Discos Konfort commissioned the creation of a full album proper. César Juárez-Joyner, a recognized contemporary music composer and producer from Mexico, with a particular interest in cultural peculiarities and the exchanges between Old and New World over history joined the project. Ravine (2010) allowed for a much more thorough study of an idea; in this case, the deep recesses of the mind where dreams and reality are one and a definition of self can be discovered. Now a duo, The Incognito Traveller’s music immediately obtained greater conceptual spectrum and musical maturity. After a few years of much travelling, The Incognito Traveller went back into the studio with fresh ideas and a concept to be explored: how humanity changes internally, physically, spatially, and how those aspects affect each other. Marc Erbetta, the band’s first and foremost drummer, left his seat to fresh and young blood embodied by Arthur Hnatek, a young musician who lived in New York and plays with cutting-edge artists like Tigran Hamasyan.

New inspiration and influences color the new album, taken from a rich and scenic collaboration with the South African dance company VUYANI.

Still standing at the frontier of jazz and instrumental pop, balancing between originality and accessibility the Erik Truffaz Quartet, faithful to a tradition established since many albums, invites two world renown and award-winning voices to this recording: Rokia Traoré and Oxmo Puccino.

Solo Sax experimental

Freestyle solo saxophone albums are rare, but hardly a novelty, and there have been excellent ones recorded by, among others, Peter Brötzmann, Anthony Braxton, and Evan Parker. Assif Tsahar can be mentioned in the same breath as these giants, as he has grasped the technical difficulties and idiosyncrasies of his horns and absorbed the aesthetic to which he aspires. The end results, as displayed on this album, are solid and exciting, and although they do not break new ground, they are in a sense an initiation into a higher realm for the Israeli-raised artist. A full-length solo album is a difficult, demanding endeavor, as the performer must continuously come through with new ideas. Tsahar performs admirably in that respect, though, to be sure, it is difficult to listen to almost any single performer alone for an extended period, and Tsahar is no exception. Most of the recording is void of extended technique, or at least innovative extended technique, but Tsahar's ability to sustain lines and to avoid repetition for long periods is an admirable feat. Those who particularly enjoy the sound of the freewheeling avant-garde saxophone will not be disappointed with these three meaty improvisations. Others who are attracted to the saxophonist's booming sound might wish to try some of his other albums in which he leads groups of varying sizes.

Dear friends and listeners....Dazie Mae is a French band created in Paris in 2003 by Jeanne Jattiot and Mathias Daval. The duo started with a cover project of US and UK songs from the late sixties and early seventies, under the name "D15H".

In 2009, their first album Velvet Dress & Stockings is released under the independent label Can't Be Serious Records. The single Sofa is used by luxury brand Dior for in-door advertising, by American stylist Andrew Christian, as well as by Swedish erotica movie director Erika Lust for her movie "Cabaret Desire".

In 2012 and 2013, the song Sad, Depressed & Lonely from album Dazie Mae - Songs Matured in Oak is one of French national radio FIP's selections. Time with my lover, from the same album, appears in director's Malik Barnhardt movie C'est la vie (2014). HERE we can taste the sound  of this band titled "Seasonal Affective Disorder" out for "Can't be Serious Rec. in 2011.....enjoy, zero

Cari amici ed ascoltatori.....è morto il Duca Bianco, Ziggy Stardust se ne è tornato da dove era venuto....un altro là. Se ne va lasciandoci un testamento sonoro, mi sto riferendo al suo 28 esimo ed ultimo album "Blackstar", uscito il 08/01/2016 giorno del suo 69 esimo compleanno; seguiranno ovviamente negli anni a venire ulteriori uscite di raccolte, inediti, session non utilizzate per la gioia sopratutto del mainstream istituzionalizzato e dei fanatici collezionisti. Un testamento, come dicevo poco sopra, per la promozione del singolo Backstar, Bowie ha girato un corto surreale dove interpreta un profeta cieco nello spazio. «Penso di aver iniziato a piangere quando mi ha chiamato», dice il regista Johan Renck. Ma il video sarà l’ultima apparizione di Bowie che i suoi fan potranno avere; un album tendenzialmente cupo, denso di oscuri presagi, una stella nera ci avverte il titolo, come se il Duca sapesse che sarebbe stato il suo ultimo lavoro, e probabilmente lo sapeva visto che erano ormai 18 mesi che combatteva contro il cancro. Pochi brani, sette, ma tutti convincenti con pochi passaggi a vuoto. Una quarantina di minuti in totale, eppure è un disco molto vario che soddisfa sia gli amanti della sperimentazione che del pop alla Duca......in memoria....QUI  enjoy, zero

NUjazz

Cari amici ed ascoltatori.....avevo gia' postato qualcosa di questi interessanti tedeschi,i De Phazz, fondati nel 1997 da Pit Baumgartner, propongono un sound di facile ascolto taggabile come nu jazz, assimilando forme sonore dal soul al R&B assieme ad un minimo di mood elettronico. Questo "Greatest Hits" non è proprio recentissimo, e personalmente non adoro le compilation, risale al 2008, ma rende bene  l'idea del loro sound.... enjoy ...QUI ...zero

Cari amici ed ascoltatori.....Microsillon è lo pseudomino di un tal Philippe Begin, Dj producer francese giunto con questo suo album, "Rhythm", il suo dodicesimo, ad allietarci con un sound jazz, latin molto molto clubbing, al punto di ricordarmi molto il primo St. Germain; i cugini transalpini sono quelli che in europa  insieme a noi Italiani, ma da noi con un numero di artisti maggiore, che meglio interpretano il sound che pesca nella tradizione jazz macchiandola, a seconda dei casi, di soul, di ritmiche più fresche e moderne, quelle ritmiche che fanno muovere a tempo il piede.....enjoy.... Coming 15 years after he dazzled the world with his jazz-house album Tourist, Ludovic Navarre returned to his St. Germain moniker with this self-titled 2015 effort, the self-titling being a signal that the project was reborn. It is, at least partially, as rare groove jazz has been replaced by music from Mali, West Africa, along with blues and funky jazz guitars from around the world.....HERE  enjoy,zero
