Italo mex groove


Ely Bruna was born in Mexico, grew up in the US and then moved to Italy. She speaks fluently Spanish, English and Italian. Due to her great voice, she has been compared to various famous international singers, like Whitney Houston above all. Session vocalist for various Dance productions in the 90’s, she’s been performing a lot around the World and has taken part in many TV shows in Italy.


She’s also a writer, she has in fact wrote for Mario Biondi on his Albums ‘Handful Of Soul’ and ‘I love You More’, she co-wrote most of the songs on the Papik’s Album ‘Rhythm Of Life’, together with her producer Nerio Biondi (aka Papik), including ‘Staying for Good’, the single from the album that has received a great response worldwide. Her first solo album ‘Remember The Time’ released in 2010 it’s dedicated to remakes in a soul-jazz style of various tunes from the 80’s and 90’s.Finally in 2015, her second Album, titled ‘Synesthesia’ will be released. The album, which was originally thought to be a double, contains 20 tracks

Out of which 16 are covers of many famous songs, chosen as always with great insight. In this album Ely is accompanied by several guests who duet with her from Nick The Nightfly who wrote and performed for her one of the 4 unreleased Songs on the Album, called ‘A Little Bit Soul’.


Frank McComb, Wendy D. Lewis, Walter Ricci, Neja, Matteo Brancaeloni, Alan Scaffardi, Frankie Lovecchio and Elsa Baldini are the other guests sharing their talent. Some of the songs revisited on the Album are ‘Happy’, Pharrell’s recent success, ‘Titanium’ by David Guetta, ‘American Boy’, ‘Good Times’ and the worldwide 90’s Dance Hit ‘Found Love’ originally by Double Dee.
